21 Tech And Appliance Deals to Grab Before Tariffs Hit

While we’re all (hopefully) not at Wall Street levels of panic, President Donald Trump’s bewildering 145% tariff on Chinese imports is something we’re all worried about. America has heavily relied on China for manufacturing many of its consumer goods — most notably batteries, toys, machinery, clothing, electrical components and microchips — and this import levy means all of the above will likely result in higher production costs. And do you know who foots the bill on it all? The consumer. In other words, you and me.

That means that appliances, tech-y gadgets and doodads will soar in price, likely sooner rather than later. Although Trump paused tariff hikes for most countries 90 days (except for China), the tariff war seems to fluctuate every day — especially with Trump already walking back an exception for smartphones and electronics, announced just last week. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?

That said, if you’re looking to upgrade your home with any shiny, new goods, now’s probably a good time to do it. We’ve seen a slight increase in prices throughout all product categories in the last few weeks, but we’ve managed to round up 21 on-sale goods you can nab now before we really start feeling those tariffs. Grab some Apple products and a new gaming console, consider upgrading that smartphone and update your kitchen before it’ll cost an arm and a leg to do it later.

The Real Deal: We use deal trackers and commerce experience to sift through “fake” hike-and-drop deals and other deceptive sales tactics. Products will usually be rated at least 4 stars with a minimum 15% discount. (And when there’s an exception, we’ll tell you why.)
