For the final week of 2023, Air India handled 433 movements, which is based on a seven day rolling average provided by flight tracking company RadarBox.

This represents an increase of 16.09% compared to the same period last year, but is around nine movements shy of pre-pandemic levels.

Below is the last four weeks’ worth of data representing the carrier:

Date 2019 Numbers 2022 Numbers 2023 Numbers Percentage Difference (2023 vs. 2022)
November 21-28 445 movements 373 movements 426 movements +14.21%
November 28-December 5 452 movements 374 movements 429 movements +14.71%
December 5-12 452 movements 380 movements 420 movements +10.53%
December 12-19 460 movements 371 movements 432 movements +16.44%

What we can see from the data is that Air India is growing the number of flights at a steady and positive rate.

The gap between 2023’s numbers and 2019’s is not much at all. As more aircraft are delivered over the course of this year, new routes and additional frequencies will no doubt be added, which will propel the carrier over the line and to continue it’s course towards growth.

All eyes will be on how this goes for the carrier.
