In May 2025 alone, Foxconn’s iPhone shipments to the US were valued at nearly $1 billion — the second-highest monthly figure ever — following a record $1.3 billion worth of devices shipped in March. In the first five months of 2025, Foxconn has already exported iPhones worth $4.4 billion from India to the US, surpassing the total $3.7 billion recorded in all of 2024. In March, Foxconn even chartered planes to transport iPhone 13, 14, 16, and 16e models worth approximately $2 billion to the US.
This surge in exports comes despite reported objections from US President Donald Trump, who twice asked Tim Cook not to manufacture iPhones in India. Nevertheless, Apple has continued to expand its manufacturing operations in the country.
In India, iPhones are currently manufactured by Foxconn and Tata Electronics. Foxconn remains the dominant player, accounting for an estimated 65–67% of iPhone production in India.
