A Lufthansa flight operating between Frankfurt and Dublin has declared an emergency whilst approaching the destination.

The flight, operated by an Airbus A321-200, is continuing under squawk code 7700.

Lufthansa flight LH976 declared an emergency with transponder code 7700 whilst on the approach into Dublin this morning.

The nature of the problem prompting the emergency declaration is not yet clear.

Lufthansa flight LH976 inbound from Frankfurt has now landed at the destination airport of Dublin (DUB). The nature of the emergency is not yet known.

Flight crew declared the emergency whilst on the descent into Dublin earlier this morning. The flight has passing through FL290 (29,000 feet) when the emergency was declared.
